1. Acceptance of Terms

By using MentalCheck ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MentalCheck provides free and paid mental health screening tools based on validated clinical instruments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSS-10, ISI-7). These tools are provided for informational and educational purposes only and are not intended to replace professional medical evaluation.

3. Medical Disclaimer

MentalCheck does NOT provide medical diagnoses, treatment, or advice
Screening results are not a substitute for professional mental health evaluation
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns
In case of emergency, contact local emergency services immediately
If you have thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please call a crisis helpline immediately

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. User Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
You must provide a valid email address
You may not share your account with others
You can delete your account at any time

6. Paid Plans & Refunds

$1 Trial: Gives 7 days of premium access. Non-refundable after trial period begins.
$20/month: Billed monthly. Cancel anytime — access continues until end of billing period.
Refunds: Contact us within 7 days of charge for a refund consideration. Payments processed by LemonSqueezy.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to access other users' data
Reverse engineer or copy the Service
Use automated tools to access the Service
Misrepresent your identity

8. Intellectual Property

The screening instruments (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSS-10, ISI-7) are in the public domain or licensed for free public use. All other content, design, and code on MentalCheck is our intellectual property.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MENTALCHECK AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. For users in the EU, EU consumer protection laws apply.
